Pan Am Southern engineer Mike Bump gives a friendly wave (knowing the flash was coming...) as he takes northbound train BF-1 (the Bellows Falls, VT switcher) across the Green Mountain Railroad diamond at Bellows Falls on the New England Central Palmer Subdivision. The BF-1 with MEC GP40 314 is passing the BFED-18 power with PAR heritage GP9s - ST 77 and 52 - which are still on the GMRC connector track.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
