Remarks & Notes
It is possible that amusement park rides such as "The Whip" of 1914 and the "Wild Mouse" of the 1960's were inspired by the V&T - a line proclaimed to be the "crookedest shortline in America". There were (are) enough degrees of curvature between Virginia City and Carson City, NV to make 17 complete circles. Consequently, speeds were kept to a minimum here, despite what is implied in this zoom pan captured at 1/8th.

Pace and pan shots of trains from on the ground or in the air. If you're not in the locomotive cab or on-board the train, it's the next best thing to being there.
