Remarks & Notes
Here's photographic evidence that there was steam on the Denver & Rio Grande Western mainline in 1977. A Bucyrus Derrick was called out of Roper Yard to clean up an eight car derailment at Provo on March 4, 1977. A passing coal train split a switch, derailing eight loads beneath the University Avenue viaduct.
