Remarks & Notes
Canadian National General Electric C40-8M No. 2400, recently repainted, leads train No. 412 through Pedley, Alberta, on July 20, 2011. The unique look of the custom-designed C40-8M includes a four-piece windshield, full cowl body with Draper taper behind the cab, and a ride on trade-in MLW Dofasco trucks from retired C630Ms. CN bought 55 of these machines built 1990-94, adding some nice locomotive variety in a world of GE-sameness.
