Remarks & Notes

The daily Kirk Yard, IN, to Waterloo, IA, manifest train is about 20 miles from the destination at Waterloo. Here the engineer give some coals to the power as they climb out of the river valley west of Independence. This 337 is fairly small today with only 70 cars.
