Remarks & Notes

A quartet of SD18/9s idles at Proctor shops between runs to the iron range led by SD18 179. The Missabe held on to steam power into 1960 when their last order of SD18s arrived to complete retirement of Yellowstones and other steam power. SD9s and SD18s would rule the rails on DMIR until 1971 when a group of SD38ACs arrived.
