BlueScope Steel 850-type English Electric locomotive D28 (nearest to camera) undergoes rebuild (including enlarged cab and complete re-wire) while in the background, former BlueScope mainliner D47 is awaiting the final touches to its new South Spur livery. "K Class" D47 (along with D48, D49 and D51) were sold to South Spur in 2004 and departed Port Kembla, their home since 1993. Today D28 is one of the dwindling number of EEs in service at the Port Kembla steelworks, while the four South Spur K Class units were scrapped in Western Australia during 2014.
