The "Delaware River-Turnpike Toll Bridge" (Built in 1956) serves as backdrop for Amtrak Cities Sprinter #612 as the train swings around a curve in Bristol, PA. The bridge is unique to the area as the two nearest large bridges over the Delaware; the Burlington Bristol Bridge and the Tacony Palmyra Bridge were built much earlier and much lower, each of those requiring a drawbridge. According to Wiki, a local AAA chapter petitioned to have bridge named after William Penn. A second identical bridge is expected to be built in the near future to handle increased traffic. Perhaps both will be given more inspired names, though hopefully not something commercial as seems the norm today with sports venues.
