Remarks & Notes
Former SBB Eb 3/5 'Habersack' 2-6-2T No 5810 belonging to the Mittel Thurgau Bahn is running round after arriving with a freight train from Weinfelden in Switzerland. The building behind is the Konstanz Konzil Haus (Council House) built in 1388-89 originally as a lakeside warehouse but became famous for the The Council of Constance, the 15th century ecumenical council recognized by the Roman Catholic Church, held from 1414 to 1418. The council ended the Three-Popes Controversy, by deposing or accepting the resignation of the remaining Papal claimants and electing Pope Martin V. When the railway came it actually had siding laid into the ground floor but that has gone now and the Konzil Haus has just undergone total renovation costing 12 million Euros. No 5810 is now in the care of Dampf Bahn Bern (DBB) and has been running this January.
