How could a day of shooting get any better — after capturing the California Zephyr at this spot, behind it came the “Yampa Valley” Train 9 headed 231 miles (from Denver) to Craig in N.W. Colorado. And the usual 2-car consist has swollen to 8 today because the D&RGW Board of Directors wanted to make the trip with invited guests. The two domes were acquired from the C&O, and the D&RGW added a door and diaphragm on the round end.
