Remarks & Notes
CNW 1237, a 1945 Baldwin VO-660 rebuilt by EMD in 1958 and classified as a VO-660M, tends to switching chores in Altoona, Wis. on a cool January afternoon. The unit has been repainted in the early 70s scheme which pre-dated Zito yellow, but eliminated the solid green cab. Although a large number of units were repainted like this, no new locomotive was ever delivered in this scheme. Starting with the 1973 deliveries of SD40-2s, the traditional green cab returned and never left until the delivery of the Dash 9s in 1993.
