| A BNSF coal train cruises east along the Columbia River below the Rock Island dam in the last sunlight of the day. It will meet the Quincy local at Albus (Columbia River siding) in a matter of seconds, then accelerate upgrade for 16 miles to leave the Columbia valley and head across desert and wheat fields to Spokane. |
