| A scheduled Rovos Rail train, with mostly stunning and hugely impressive vintage clerestory roofed coaches in the consist, has made a routine stop at Lions River Station in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands. While stopped, passengers are taken on a road excursion to various places of interest in the area. The luxury overnight passenger train is bound for Rovos Rail's station and headquarters at Capital Park in Pretoria. Motive power is supplied by Transnet Freight Rail on all Rovos Rail's regional trips at the moment, but hopefully sometime in the future we will see these trains running with Rovos Rail's own beautifully refurbished vintage Class 5E1 Series 5 locomotives in charge! |
