Remarks & Notes

NH&I's 2-8-0 #40 sits in the shop on New Year's Eve awaiting 2015 and the completion of major running gear work. A coach undergoing restoration sits to the right while two others (one still in SPETA colors and the other a streamliner with a full kitchen) await there turn in the shop. Despite the backlog of work, the capable crew expects to have #40 ready to return to the rails in time for the Spring excursion season.
