Remarks & Notes
For whatever reason, UP Train AAMEW 28 left town with a GMTX GP38-2 leader followed by a pair of UP SD70M's. Whatever the reason, the crew's "luckiness" or what have you, it looked nice here passing the former site of the Frisco Rosedale and Katy Glen Park Yards on the BNSF Ft. Scott Sub. GMTX 2250 was built as a GP38AC, DT&I 213 in April 1970, builder number 36336. It passed to the Grand Trunk Western as GTW 6213, and wound up in the Joint Venture EMD-GATX Locomotive Leasing Partners fleet as LLPX 2213 before getting GMTX markings last winter. It had been working various locals out of the Kansas City area, including Lawrence and Topeka, KS until ending up on this train.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
