E1510 and the overnight Durban to Johannesburg passenger train, "Trans Natal", is pictured here at Pepworth, about 10km on the Johannesburg side of Ladysmith. The train was running almost 7 hours late after a problem with one of the original two units on the train at Mooi River. A third replacement unit, E1510, had to be requested and sent up to Mooi River from Durban before the train could continue on with its journey.
An overnight economy class passenger train that runs between Johannesburg and Durban (and return) operated by Shosholoza Meyl / PRASA. In its hey day it was one of the most popular passenger trains operated by the South African Railways.
