The two faux "Hollywood" cars at Disney's California Adventure theme park, located in Anaheim, California, don't run very far - just 2000 feet up and down the park's Buena Vista Street. But they certainly add the flavor of classic Hollywood to this part of the park.
Built by Brookville Equipment Company (in Pennsylvania), the two "Red Cars" are battery powered and ADA compliant. And, while the overhead wire carries no power, the motormen (and motorwomen) do repostion the trolley poles at the end of each run, before the cars reverse direction. These cars began operation in 2012, and they even carry vintage (though Disney-themed) advertising inside. Disney even sells motorman hat with the (slightly revised) PE logo and, of course, mouse ears on them.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
