Remarks & Notes
Southern served the South!

It is a fact that more 2-8-0 "Consolidations" were built than any other wheel arrangement and the Southern utilized many in several unique classes, small to large. No. 543 is the sole survivor of the J class locomotive, though many other classes not only survive but run, including Monticello Railway Museum's H-4 class #401, the Three Rivers Rambler's G class #154 and the much larger Ks-1 #630, also operational at the TVRM.
