| MILW 908, a venerable Baldwin VO-1000 rests outside the Pig's Eye Yard roundhouse on a chilly January 1975 morning. Milwaukee had a number of Baldwins still in service in the Twin cities area at this time, and owned 12 VO-1000s. The Hyde/Sanders Milwaukee Diesels book reports this was the last VO-1000 retired in May 1969. It appears here to still be in good running condition five and a half years later. |
