During 2012, Canpotex's fleet was pushed to the limit, and in order to make up for the shortage, Potash Corp. cars were temporarily added to the pool, providing a rare opportunity to see unit trains of salmon-colored hoppers. The only known one to ever come south of the border is seen winding through Spokane and onto Latah Creek Bridge on the evening of the summer solstice. The train entered the US at Eastport, ID and is going to Terminal 5 outside Portland, OR to be unloaded for export.
