"Heading West at Lake Junction"
After successfully picking up toys at the first two collection points along the High Bridge Branch, the Toys for Tots train is now back on M&E trackage after a short run on NJ Transit. The train will run down the Chester Branch from here, but would switch down to the seldom used High Bridge branch to complete the last three stops scheduled for the day. The team track in the foreground is used as a storage track for loaded/empty hopper cars that the Morristown and Erie/Norfolk Southern locals deliver throughout the week. |
