Due to congestion on the more direct route over Stevens Pass, this eastbound Tacoma-Logistics Park, Chicago intermodal train was routed the long way around Washington, and is now nearing the end of its detour as it begins the descent into Marshall Canyon, passing alongside Queen Lucas Lake. In the foreground is the "High Side" through the canyon, utilized primarily by westbounds and UP trains heading to or coming from the Ayer Sub at Lakeside Jct.
