Passing under the World Famous New River Gorge Bridge, towering 876' over the New River, the 2012 Collis P. Huntington New River Train passes through Fayette Station, enroute to Hinton from Huntington. Above, the annual Bridge Day festivities are being held with over 100,000 tourists crowding both lanes of the massive Route 19 bridge. Approximately 400+ jumpers will jump from the bridge this day, but all dare-deviling registrants have been temporarily halted to allow for the passing of the New River train.
This is dedicated (with permission) to the skilled and gifted photographer - Chase Gunnoe - who regularly posts and is on staff with RP. I believe he deserves a gallery showcasing his remarkable photos. This is for you Chase! (More great photos to come!)
