"Crossing the Rockaway River"
The winter storm that impacted the area on this day was nearing its peak as the Toys for Tots train departed from its last stop in Rockaway. Although the last stop for this train is just South of the bridge at Potbelly's Cafe the crew brought the train across the bridge for the photographers that were still out braving the elements. This particular location was featured in the movie "The Station Agent" for a scene as the main character was relaxing and watching trains on a nice summer evening. |
