Remarks & Notes
An ABB N-5 car runs solo on SEPTA's Norristown High Speed Line captured here at Gulf Mills, PA. SEPTA inherited this original Philadelphia and Western Railroad line from it's current owner, the Red Arrow Lines in 1955. The line was built in 1907 and at one time passengers could connect with the Lehigh Valley Transit at Norristown allowing direct electric train service from 69th St. Terminal in Philadelphia all the way to Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Click here for a great catch by John West taken in 1966 featuring the Red Arrow Liberty Liner at roughly the same location.
