Remarks & Notes

To help ease their motive power shortage while orders for new locomotives are filled, Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) has hired a number of RRL Grindrod's type RL30SCC-3 diesels, built at the Grindrod workshops in Pretoria. Four of these locomotives are heading north between Meyerton and Daleside with coal empties, while a spring thunderstorm builds in the background.
