Remarks & Notes
On Monday, November 24, Florida East Coast Railway’s first pair of GEVO ES44C4 locomotives – FEC 803 and 804 – spent the day with shop forces doing familiarization training, but they would be pressed back into service for their second southbound revenue run later Monday night. Late on Monday afternoon the pair – placed back to back for a run to Fort Lauderdale where there is no wye to spin them – was having their cab signals set up and tested at Jacksonville’s Bowden Yard for the run on FEC train 123-24.
