Crossing the Russell Fork of the Big Sandy River, the 72nd running of the Clinchfield Santa Train arrives at its second stop of the morning in downtown Elkhorn City. The office car special is destined for Kingsport, Tennessee, but not before distributing 15 tons of gifts, apparel, and produce to families at 14 scheduled stops along the former Clinchfield mainline in rural Appalachia. The 2014 Santa Train featured Huntington built SD40-3 No. 4047.
