By the summer of 1996, it was GREAT to catch a quartet of old EMD tunnel motors leading a freight along the former Rio Grande mainline. The GE AC4400CW revolution had taken over most of the mainline assignments by this point in time. A 'basso profondo' SD45T-2R leads the ROGJM through Riverton with 68 cars for GJC. It appears the maturing summer corn crop is doing very, very well on this July 31, 1996 evening.
