On the weekend of November 15-16th, Amtrak rerouted for the third time in 2014. This time BNSF had been saving some serious maintenance for a bridge located just to the west of Princeton, IL on the Mendota Subdivision. With almost a month of notice of this reroute, it gave me the opportunity to plan ahead and get this rare and unique shot. This is AMTK 6 "California Zephyr" travelling eastbound across the Illinois River at Chillicothe, IL. BNSF Chillicothe Subdivision. 11/15/14.
