For a period of time CP ran a dedicated train of truck frames from the manufacturer in St. Thomas, east to the assembly plants in Oshawa, Ontario. It ran on a schedule, daily except Sundays, passing through Toronto anytime after 9:00 a.m. and was one of the hottest trains on the Galt Sub. Despite being stripped of its prime mover and traction motors, former RS18 1117 still looks great in the lead, and will return in three to four hours with empties. CP also converted some C424s in this manner.
