Remarks & Notes |
Colorado Central #40 (2-8-0) was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1912 and worked in Central America. In 1972 it was sold to the Colorado Central Narrow Gauge Railroad Company in Central City, Colorado and in 1977 moved to the Georgetown Loop where it shuttled passengers up the mountain to Silver Plume and back. The Colorado Railroad Museum acquired the engine in 2004 and intends to restore her to active duty. |
