Remarks & Notes
Denver & Rio Grande Western 683 (2-8-0) was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1890 and operated in the San Luis Valley in southern Colorado. The locomotive was donated to the Colorado Railroad Museum in 1962 and is the last of its kind – the only surviving Denver & Rio Grande Western standard gauge steam engine.
