Reflecting on her nearly 90 years of service, the former McCloud River Railroad Prairie #25 charges across the little bridge over Nehalem Bay, just south of Wheeler, Oregon. This lovely morning, the 25 is casting her likeness on one of the many tidal pools in the marshland adjacent to the Oregon coastline. This former Southern Pacific trackage is now operated by the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad and is used for a variety of tourist excursions and private charters.
