Remarks & Notes
Now a scene that can never be re-created, the Southern Railway cantilever signal at Cornelia stands tall in its neutral position at 3:42am, as it did at 3:42 every single morning for the last 60-70 years. Its days are done now, as it has been cut down and the replacement Safetran cantilever has been placed into service. It's the end of an era on the Southern.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)

Semaphores, lamps, signs, hand signals. Anything that sends a visible message to train crews.
