| Haybales, Pumpkins and Autumn Leaves – Tennessee Valley’s Summerville Steam Special arrives at Summerville, GA on a more Indian Summer day than that of late October. Southern 4501 pulled the 9 car consist along with a dead in tow Southern GP-30 2594 which was added a protection power at the last moment for only the excursion on Sunday. 4501 did all the work and sounded very nice bouncing her original whistle off the mountains of northwest Georgia. The big show will be on November 8th, as 4501 will be joined by 630 for the finale of the fall steam excursion schedule. |
