Four big Class 11E units (25kV locomotives - 45 built in 1985, exclusively for use on the Richards Bay Coal Line), headed by E11032, working a 200 wagon coal train (empties) through Ulundi Station on an extremely hot and humid day. Named as Ulundi (The high place), by the then king of the Zulus, King Cetshwayo in 1873, Ulundi was once the capital of Zululand and later the capital of the Bantustan of Kwazulu.
Classes 7E, 9E, 11E, 14E, 15E, 19E, 20E and 21E.
7E & 11E are 25kv AC locos. 9E & 15E are 50kv AC locos and the remainder are dual-voltage (25kv AC & 3kv DC).
