A three mile hike through the forest and in and out of several deep ravines offers a view down on the most remote portion of UP's La Grande Subdivision. After a meet with a K Line stack train at Huron (still visible in the distance), a monster 13,000 foot manifest, reportedly the longest train operating on the Western Division at that time, descends through the twisting confines of Meacham Creek Canyon just above Camp siding on the west slope of the Blue Mountains crossing in Oregon.
