What a special cable car! The Gelmerbahn has only one car and run from Handeck (1412 meters over sealevel) to Gelmer (1860 meters over sealevel), length 1028m, until 106% grade, during of this trip 10 min, built 1926. The passengers look to the valley, this car run downhill. The owner of the Gelmerbahn is KWO (KWO means Kraftwerke Oberhasli: Kraftwerk = generating station, Oberhasli is called this region). Many years ago this was a transport car for material, now he is exclusively for tourists and hiker. A very imposing trip!
