Metro Ports (the former Metropolitan Stevedore) operates a transloading facility on Pier G in Long Beach, California, handling trainloads of coal, petroleum coke, soda ash, potash and other commodities. Metro Ports 3GS21B-DE 0805 (built by NRE in September 2008) pulls a string of ten covered hopper cars full of potash to the unloader for transloading into a ship. Photographed on private property with permission and full PPE.
