| Soo Line GP9 No. 554 switches cars for the elevators at their small Rice's Point yard. No. 554 was delivered as a passenger service unit and served on the Laker between Chicago and Duluth until early 1965. Rice's Point was the location of Northern Pacific's primary Duluth yard, and also was home to a small GN yard as well as CNW. In the distant background a CNW Geep is switching in its yard. |
