Near Linan mine, Chesapeake & Ohio freight scheme painted F7(A) No. 7094 leads a southbound freight along the Shavers Fork of the Cheat River towards Spruce from Elkins. Despite torrential rain and strong winds, foliage has held on in West Virginia's highest elevations for about two weeks, bringing spectacular color to Pocahontas and Randolph counties.
