On May 05, 2014, me and Kirk decided to spend most of the day on the Moffat Route in hopes of getting the Central of Georgia Heritage Unit leading BNSF's Provo, UT to Denver, CO manifest. However, the train was still stuck in Western Colorado. On the other hand, there was an eastbound BNSF loaded coal train with four brand new SD70ACe's that were on the train. Waiting patiently, we were able to get the train at the East Portal and chased it down the mountain. We caught the train at East Portal, Tolland, Rollinsville, Pinecliffe, Coal Creek Canyon, and Big Ten Curve. Down the mountain, we weren't the only ones trackside grabbing shots of the BNSF coal train. We ran into photographers Mike Danneman, Bill Edgar and, another individual at Blue Mountain Road and the overlook at Big Ten Curve. Seen here easing down the grade, three of the four SD70ACe's lead the loaded coal train down Big Ten Curve towards the siding at Rocky, where they'll meet a westbound UP coal empty.
