| With the Chicago & North Western heritage engine in the lead, Union Pacific's Salt Lake City to Denver manifest climbs through the Red Narrows of Spanish Fork Canyon October 9, 2014. The three EMDs were having a tough time pulling the 85 car train and would soon stall on the grade. A heavy coating of soot along the sides of the three units accumulated when the MRONY-09 pulled through the 3180 ft. Thistle Tunnel. |
