On a perfect October afternoon, a ex-NP GP9 and ex-IC GP10 now working for the Alliance Grain Co (aka The Bloomer Line), arrive Gibson City with 22 loads of grain from the elevator at Cropsey. The Bloomer Line has five locomotives, including their small Plymouth locomotive staged at Gibson City. Two leased LTEX geeps have also been on the property for a few years, so it was nice to catch a solid Bloomer consist. They serve eight grain elevators as well as a potash center in Colfax and the ethanol plant in Gibson City.
