Remarks & Notes
The LM&M's Pumpkin Patch Express is crossing the diamond at Hageman, and is about to cross U.S. Route 42 as it rolls towards its destination at The Schappacher Farm. At one point in time, this diamond was the junction of the famed Cincinnati, Lebanon & Northern (which the CNRY 55 and her train are running on) with the Middletown & Cincinnati. Both the CL&N and M&C later came under Pennsylvania Railroad control, passing on to Penn Central and Conrail before most of the remaining active trackage here was sold to the Indiana & Ohio in 1985. The CL&N trackage north of the diamond is actually owned and maintained by the City of Lebanon, with I&O as designated operator should there be any freight traffic, which currently there is none. The old M&C trackage at one time continued south to a connection with the PRR's Little Miami Railroad (now a bike trail) in Kings Mills, but now ends in a patch of weeds about 2 car lengths past a wye track connection just south of here.
