Remarks & Notes

As the sun dips behind the Helderberg Escarpment, a pair of locomotives lead an empty autorack train westbound across the Hudson river on the Alfred H. Smith Memorial Bridge. The train is bound for CSX Selkirk Yards which is just a few miles to the west of this location. Parallel to the rail bridge is the Castleton-on-Hudson bridge carrying traffic for the NY Thruway's Berkshire Connector.
