Remarks & Notes |
A T-Bird crew change is taking place at Shelton Jct. / Largo after loading at United Taconite. On the right side is the Laurentian Aggregates rock crushing operation with it's GP9 visible and the United Taconite north pit itself in the upper right. Note all the mining equipment. Upper center is the United Taconite coarse crusher , upper upper center would be where the old Auburn pit ( last operating natural ore mine ) or before that the Richelieu wash plant was located ( if you follow the haul road which is over the old Auburn pit) and upper left is the city of Virginia. The left track is the CN Rainy main line and you can see the T-Bird loop track upper center. The road at the bottom is Shelton Jct. / Largo.
