An overview of the CN yard and shops at Proctor, MN. A huge change from the days of the Missabe. Back in it's heyday it would have been all maroon and gold here but today there is only one true Missabe engine in the photo and it's hidden among the Bessemer and Lake Erie, Illinois Central (both black and repainted into CN colors), Canadian National, Grand Truck Western and former maroon and gold DMIR that has now been repainted into CN colors. Not to mention all the freight cars. CN has turned this yard into a mixed freight yard for sorting cars and making up trains as well.
