Remarks & Notes 
On its first trip west, brand-new Union Pacific ES44AC 8216 arrives at West Colton Yard in Bloomington, California, on the point of train MNPWC 18 (Merchandise, North Platte NE to West Colton CA). This order of ES44ACs have extra ballast added for additional weight (which increases the engine's tractive effort), and as a result UP's internal model designation for these is C45AH.
